Abstract

Kristen Stilt, Islamic Law in Action: Authority, Discretion, and Everyday Experiences in Mamluk Egypt isimli eserinde, uzun yillar Kahire yazmalariyla hasir nesir olmanin ve o muhite dair calismalar yapmanin sagladigi birikimle, Kahire ve Fustat’i merkez alarak Memlukler doneminin (1250-1517) gunluk hayatina yogunlasmayi ve boylelikle Islam hukukunun tatbik surecine tesir eden dinamikler uzerinden fikhin toplumla iliskisini incelemektedir. Bunu yaparken hukukun sosyal yonune dikkat cekmeyi amaclayan law in action yaklasimina telmihte bulunmaktadir.
