Abstract

The article focuses on experiences and attitudes of women related to live sport spectatorship and media sport consumption. Another investigated issue was the relationship between sport consumption and leisure sport and recreational activity of investigated women. Written interview with the use of self-designed questionnaire (39 questions) was applied in the research. Research sample included 105 women of mean age 46 years. 85% of respondents were married of living in informal partner relationships. The research was carried out in Warsaw, in 2015. Result show that respondents were highly interested in sports with domination media sport consumption. The relationship between leisure sport activities and sport consumption was established. Respondents more active in sports were more keen on watching sport events. Sport television broadcast proved to be the most often used method of sport consumption.
