Abstract

Abstract:As an island located at the eastern tip of Indonesia, with very exotic natural beauty and abundant natural resources, Papua is a favorite for many countries. But the reality is the opposite, because apparently, Papua is lagging behind. The title as a poor area is still part of the land of Papua. For this reason, this research was conducted to examine Christian theologically, the causes of this situation. The research was conducted in a descriptive qualitative manner. The conclusion obtained from the research results is that errors in understanding and interpreting the work carried out have influenced work patterns. For this reason, the Christian theological affirmation of the meaning of work, as part of the essence of being in the image and likeness of God, must be understood correctly Keywoords :Theology, work, Papua Abstrak:Sebagai Pulau yang berada pada ujung timur Indonesia, memiliki keindahan alam yang sangat eksotik, dan kekayaan alam yang sangat berlimpah, maka Papua menjadi primadona bagi banyak negara. Tetapi kenyataannya berbanding terbalik, sebab ternyata, Papua mengalami ketertingalan. Predikat sebagai wilayah Miskin, masih menjadi bagian dari tanah Papua. Untuk itulah maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji secara teologis Kristen, penyebab dari situasi tersubut. Penelitian dlakukan secara kualitatif deskriptif. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari hasil peneliitian adalah, kesalahan dalam memahami dan memaknai kerja yang dilakukan telah mempengaruhi pola kerja. Untuk itulah maka, penegasan secara Teologis Kristen Terhadap makna Kerja, sebagai bagian dari hakekat segambar dan serupa dengan Allah, haruslah dipahami dengan benar.
