Abstract

Malaysia is an Islamic country that has ethnic and religious diversity. The uniqueness of this pluralistic Malaysian society has captured the attention of the entire Muslim world in fulfilling the obligations of enjoining good and forbidding evil, presenting its own challenges in the context of preaching in Malaysia. Due to the complexity and uniqueness of this situation, the concept of moderation of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah needs to be explored, so that the Islamic identity among its followers is neither obscure nor extreme, leading to disputes in the civil society of Malaysia. Therefore, this article is presented as a basic guide for Muslims in Malaysia to fulfill one of the obligatory demands of their faith. The research methodology employed is qualitative, based on documentary research by referring to theses, journals, and relevant scholarly books. The author hopes that this article can prevent a Muslim, especially in Malaysia, from falling into the dangers of extremism or confusion of thought that contradicts the path of Ahli Sunnah Wal Jamaah.
