Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of describing and analyzing educational concepts in character formation for today’s children. The concept of education in strengthening moral education or character education in the current context is very relevant to overcome the moral crisis that is currently hitting. The moral crisis in the form of increasing promiscuity, increasing rates of violence against children and teenagers, crimes against friends, teenage theft, cheating habits, drug abuse, pornography and destruction of other people’s property has become a social problem that until now has not been able to be addressed effectively. Complete, therefore how important character education is. The research uses a qualitative approach, library research type of research, with data collection techniques using documentation and analysis techniques using an in-depth analysis approach. Based on the results of the research study, it is stated that the importance of character education is immediately developed and internalized, both in the world of formal education and in non-formal education. Formal education is certainly reasonable, because it has quite noble goals for providing students with life so that they are always ready to respond to all the dynamics of life with full responsibility.
