Abstract

Summary Group analysts tend to shy away from conflict and avoid difficult conversations about the potency of power and authority. As a community group analysts assume in a socially unconscious way that all power is malignant and that all groups are without hierarchy. The civilising or destructive potency of conflict within a group or between different groups is not really studied. In addition, group analysts tend to practice „ancestor worship“ and avoid competitive research, which can live up to the dominant natural science paradigm. We show our potency by quoting our founding gods, rather than through our own, and validated, discoveries.
