Abstract
The research is interested in studying the history of the Iranian island of Kish through the books of geographers and Muslim travellers, as these books are an important source of history, politics, economy, and culture. Kish Island played a prominent role in the history of the sea, especially the distinctive economic role through its strategic location, as it dominated maritime trade for a large historical era of the history of the sea, in addition to its political history full of political events, as it controlled the coastal cities and neighbouring islands in the Gulf, and became the capital of the sea and the seat of kings, especially its cultural role, as many modernists and classifiers emerged from it who supported the scientific movement throughout Islamic history.
