Abstract

1. Expressions have been obtained for the moments of curves of adsorbent granule temperature change due to the evolution of heat of adsorption for a model of nonisothermal adsorption kinetics that takes into account internal diffusion in the adsorbent granule and external heat transfer between the granule surface and the surrounding medium. 2. Methods are proposed for calculating the diffusion coefficient and the effective external heat transfer coefficient, based on either a joint analysis of kinetic and temperature curves or an analysis of the temperature curve alone.
