Abstract

1. 1. Highly divided copper accelerates the decomposition of hydroperoxides of T-6 fuel (398°K); the decomposition rate constant has a linear dependence on the surface area of the copper. 2. 2. Ionol inhibits the decomposition of hydroperoxides in concentrations lower than 2 × 10 −3 mole/1.; above this level ionol is oxidized on the surface of copper by hydroperoxides.
