Abstract
1. The kinetics of the reaction of Ni(H2O) 6 2+ with pyridine, 4-amino-, 4-methyl-, 3-methyl-, 3-di-ethylamido-, and 4-nitropyridine in aqueous solution in the interval 15–50° was studied by the temperature-jump method. 2. The values found for the rate constants and activation energy of the forward reaction are practically constant within the limits of the reaction series.
