Abstract

The kinetic theory for multicomponent moderately dense gas mixtures developed in papers I and II of the series is used to compute the transport coefficients of a binary mixture of dissimilar hard spheres. Using a linearized form for the approximate Enskog operator, we recover the results, to first order in the density obtained by Thorne some years ago.
