Abstract

The acquisition of skills and competencies of managers should lead to better performance. It is necessary to quantify and evaluate the measurement of the results of employees and managers. Managers' development and acquisition of new skills should lead to efficiency and better company performance. This research solves the issue of acquiring competencies in construction project management by using new progressive technologies such as BIM technology. The research is based on a research problem in which it is assumed that the use of BIM technology in construction project management leads to an increase in managers' competencies, which is reflected in better key performance indicators. The goal of the research was to analyze the impact of the use of BIM technology in construction project management on key performance indicators and thus increase the competencies of managers. The research results point to defining key performance indicators connected to key managerial competencies. The research results indicate that using BIM technology impacts selected performance indicators in construction project management, which is also related to increased managerial competencies and effectiveness.
