Abstract

In order to improve the accuracy of ammonia nitrogen determine. It is necessary to control blank value effectively. The key issues such as preparation, preservation methods in process of ammonia test by Nessler's reagent spectro photometric were discussed. At the same time, study on ammonia-nitrogen test by decrement method (DM) to reduce resource consumption and secondary environmental pollution. Results show that dissolved KI and HgI2 together first then dissolved in the caustic soda solution slowly and saved in low temperature conditions (0~5°C) could control ammonia nitrogen test blank value actively. Satisfactory monitor result could obtain by decrement method. Paired samples t-test indicated that no significant difference (p>0.05) compared with national standard method (NM).
