Abstract

The article considers the history of development and the current state of robotics in the Asian region on the exam-ple of Japan. A technical and economic analysis of the cause-and-effect relationships between the development of robotics and the state of the Japanese economy has been carried out. The leading role of the state in shaping the fundamentals of robotics development policy in the interests of strengthening the national economy and im-proving the quality of life has been established.
