Abstract

This study aims to explore, examine and obtain a descriptive description of the relationship between Islamic social finance in local wisdom huyula in the Gorontalo community as an effort to shape the personality of the Gorontalo community. This research uses a case study approach. The collection of data and information in this study was carried out in various ways and techniques from various sources, namely the Gorontalo community, Arikel and books. Data and information collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The huyula culture among the Gorontalo people, among others, can be understood as a form of identity as a Muslim community that has the character of ta'awun (please help), helping each other in disseminating the symbols of Islam as part of religious advice. This tradition is closely related to the concept of Islamic philanthropy in that it can be interpreted as a movement, whether carried out by individuals or groups with the aim of improving the quality of people's lives through a "culture of giving".
