Abstract

Learning is a combination of teaching activities and learning activities that seek to create harmonious communication between the instructor and the learner. Science skills and problem-solving skills are important factors in supporting the learning process. The purpose of this research is to analyze science process skills in outdoor learning-oriented science learning at SMK Negeri 1 Lolak. This study used Mixed Methods with an embedded experimental model design with the research subject being class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Lolak in the 2022/2023 academic year. KIPA-IPS learning which is oriented to outdoor learning is very effective or very good according to plan. Students' science process skills are measured using observation sheets. Based on the average value of the students' science process skills, it can be concluded that the highest average value of science process skills with very good criteria is found in 4 aspects, namely making observations, making observations outside the classroom, making data, and communicating. The application of science learning can be used by teachers as an alternative to science learning because it is proven to be able to teach effective learning methods and is able to optimize science process skills as well as varied and challenging learning activities.
