Abstract
One of the priorities for achieving sustainable development is the creation of a sustainable campus. The diversity of activities on campus has transformed the school into a metropolis. The impact of campus space is similar to that of a metropolis. In this regard, campus space must be preserved so that the environment improves for the citizens' well-being. The purpose of this paper is to look at the importance and problems of walking habits in forming sustainable campuses in Malaysia. This is a conceptual piece that looks at the relevance and difficulty of walking on campus. Walking for movement from one area on campus to another is an idea that can be done to help create a more sustainable campus. Walking is important for a variety of reasons, including reducing air pollution, reducing traffic congestion, overcoming vehicle parking issues, and keeping one's body healthy. Weather, on the other hand, poses a difficulty to walking practices. However, the challenges for walking practices include weather and climate, lack of infrastructure, level of safety and the attitude of users themselves. Therefore, intensifying the promotion of non -motorized transportation such as cycling and walking can increase the sustainability of the campus. Campus residents need to actively adopt this new lifestyle in maintaining campus sustainability.
