Abstract

This study intends to find out what are the obstacles in dealing with landslides carried out by the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Agam Regency, which trigger the problem, namely the delay in information received during the landslide disaster. This research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method, the technique of determining research informants was by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data Analysis Techniques, namely by reducing the presentation of data and drawing conclusions, the validity of the researcher's data is triangulation of sources. The obstacles faced in landslide disaster management by BPBD Agam Regency are divided into two parts, namely Internal and External Constraints. The results show that the internal constraints faced by the BPBD of Agam Regency are insufficient funds, minimal equipment used in response, and limited capacity of members. Meanwhile, the external obstacle faced by BPBD Agam Regency is the lack of awareness and concern of the community in understanding the potential for disasters that exist in the environment where they live
