Abstract

AbstrackThe background of this research is to determine the feasibility of teaching materials from the analysis of aspects of content, presentation, language, and graphics. The teaching material used in the online learning process during the pandemic that is used by teachers in delivering teaching materials is Ruangguru. The teaching material presented by the application is in the form of a slide. The purpose of this study was to describe the feasibility of teaching materials used by Indonesian language teachers in the online learning process in class VIII of the 2020/2021 school year of SMP Negeri 7 Sungai Raya. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study were sourced from news text teaching materials and explanations for class VIII contained in the Ruangguru application. Based on the results of news text analysis and explanation from the aspect of content feasibility, it is categorized as very feasible. The results of the analysis on the aspect of presenting the news text material and explanations are categorized as less feasible. Furthermore, the linguistic aspect of the news text material is categorized as very appropriate (KBBI)-appropriate (PUEBI), while the explanatory text is categorized as very appropriate (KBBI)-less feasible (PUEBI). The last aspect of feasibility, namely the graphic analysis of news text material and explanations, is categorized as very feasible because all the material meets the graphic criteria.Keywords: Appropriateness, Online, Ruangguru, Teaching Materials.
