The nutritional problem in Indonesia is a public health problem that cannot be solved by a medical approach and health care providers alone, but is closely related to the problem of food security at the household level, which includes aspects of knowledge and behaviors that support a healthy lifestyle. Based on data from the Brebes District Health Office for 2021, it is known that the highest incidence of malnutrition occurs in the working area of the Pemaron Health Center, namely the village of Gandasuli Brebes, which is 15%. Based on the results of observations with Posyandu midwives and cadres in Gandasuli village of Brebes that the daily food intake of infants and children does not meet the guidelines for a balanced diet, this shows poor knowledge of mothers of a balanced diet during growth. toddler and child period. The mother's lack of knowledge about infant and child health and the assumption that all foods are equal, regardless of the nutritional value of the food provided, make infants and children suffer easily malnutrition.
