Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Assure model in learning biographical texts in class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung.This study used descriptive qualitative method. The source of the data used in this research is the context of Indonesian language teaching and learning activities in class X IPS 3 with biographical text material. The data in this study is in the form of applying the Assure learning model to biographical text material. The data collection technique used in this study was observation in the form of recording and observing learning activities and interviews, while the technical analysis used was data triangulation.Based on the results of research and discussion that the application of the assure model is effective in learning biographical texts in class X IPS 3 SMA Negeri 7 Bandar Lampung. Effectiveness is marked by the calculation results in accordance with the assessment guidelines, namely obtaining a score of 68 with the criteria of effectiveness and APKG I for assessing lesson plans that have been designed and APKG II for observing learning practices by applying the assure model in class.
