Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the policies for developing and improving the quality of human resources at the regional library and archives service in Rejang Lebong Regency. Data were collected by interview, observation and documentation methods. The results of the study indicate that the archival HR development policy at the Regional Library and Archives Service of Rejang Lebong Regency focuses on the following matters, namely: 1) Management of Inactive Archives:; 2) Static Archive Management:; 3) Archive Depreciation Management; and 4) Archive HR Certification. Whereas for improving the quality of archival human resources at the Regional Library and Archives Service of Rejang Lebong Regency includes technical guidance that refers to national competency standards in the field of archiving. The implementation of education and training activities is a very important effort in improving the capabilities and competence of archival HR.
