Abstract

This study aimed to determine the diversity and morphometric characteristics of freshwater fishes found in Air Manna River, Pino District,South Bengkulu Regency Bengkulu Province. The method employed in this study was a direct survey method of research location. Sampling was implemented by dividing stations based on river characteristics consisting of three locations, namely station A with calm river characteristics, station B with characteristics of the river flowing station C with fast water river characteristics. Measurement ofmorphometric characteristics in Osteochilusvittatus (Nilem) andOreochromisniloticus (Tilapia) fish was carried out to see the ratio of the ratio of PT: TB, PT: PK characters.and PS: PSE at stations A, B and C by measuring fish body parts including, total length (PT), body height (TB), head length (PK), standard length (PS), and tail fin length (PSE). Theresults of the study, fish diversity found in three stations have different fish diversity at station A with diversity index 0.808, station B with a Diversity index of 0,856, and at station C with a diversity index of 0,746.Comparison of morphometric ratio result on the characters of PT:TB in (station A) are (Nilem) 1:3.3, (Nila) 1:3.33, (station B) are(Nilem) 1:3.1, (Nila) 1:3.32 and the lowest in (station C) are (Nilem) 1:3.0, (Nila) 1:3,2. The highest ratio ofPT:PK at (station A) are (Nilem) 1:4.6, (Nila) 1:3,5, (station B) are (Nilem) 1:4,5, (Nila) 1:3,43, and the lowest at (station C) are (Nilem) 1:4.4, (Nila) 1:3.42. Meanwhile, the highest ratio of PT:PK on (station A) are (Nilem) 1:3,2, (Nila) 1:3.16, (station B) are(Nilem) 1:3.1, (Nila) 1:3.14, (station C) are (Nilem) 1:3.0, (Nila) 1:3.0.Fish species found in Air Manna River, Pino District, South Bengkulu Regency Bengkulu Province obtained 9 species that belong to 8 families. The types of animals are Anguillidae (Anguila bicolor), Bagridae (Mystus nemurus), Cyprinidae (Osteochilus vittatus), (Tor dourenensis), Gobiinae (Sicyopteruscynocephalus), Clariidae (Clarias batrachus), Channidae (Channa striata), Cichlidae (Oreochromis niloticus), Osphronemida (Trichogaster trichopterus).
