Abstract

While the environment, reflecting technological opportunities and cultural / social trends with the structure of economic and political experiences of the community gives important clues about the experiences of the society, it also reveals an important indicator in terms of how cultural structure will be in the future. The physical environment including climate, geography and topographic formation and cultural environment being shaped depending on physical environment have crucial importance for every society. Traditional Turkish house, on the one hand shaped by Central Asia's geographic and climatic conditions beside its cultural dynamics and on the other hand integrating environmental and cultural elements in Anatolia, has unique and rich appearance in terms of the world residential architecture, excellent appearance in terms of quality and beautiful appearance in terms of aesthetics and as well as a historical depth. Traditional Turkish house, being formed in a long process and including cultural exchange in each period and being a component of rich material culture, has an important mission in terms of introducing their own rich culture to the next generation. In this study, factors that determine the formation of traditional Turkish house having characteristics value have been discussed in detailed and at the same time physical/functional formations
