Abstract
Abstract Kaplan’s dislocation is a rare occurrence, particularly in children. We encountered a case of Kaplan’s dislocation of the index finger in an 8-year-old child who presented 18 days post-injury. The child was managed through open reduction using a dorsal approach. At 7 months of follow-up, the patient exhibited a good functional outcome. This case is noteworthy not only for its rarity but also to highlight that it can occur in children and that even in cases with delayed presentation, open reduction (preferably via a dorsal approach) can yield favorable outcomes with proper follow-up.
