Abstract
AbstractIn On the Common Saying, Kant criticizes Danton’s interpretation of the social contract as a ‘factum’. In this article, I aim to identify the source to which Kant is referring in this criticism. This can be of help in interpreting Kant’s attitude toward the French Revolution.
