Abstract

The Arabic language learning and teaching scenario is based solely on the basic courses taken to qualify for the graduation process. This study was conducted to identify the use of Arabic terms as well Islamic practices used in financial institutions by officials and to know the use of Arabic as a lingua franca in Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) and Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk). The results of this study propose a guideline for designing the development of Arabic language modules suitable for use as Malaysian Institute of Higher Education for job preparation.
