Abstract

The article highlights the issue of the origin and development of the education model in Dagestan during the formation of Soviet statehood. The study provides a brief description of the existing model of education in the early twentieth century in the region, as well as notes its main shortcomings. The Soviet government, realizing the need for reform activities in the country in matters of creating a new model of systemic education, began to carry out reform activities that covered all aspects of education and upbringing. This policy had its own distinctive features in each region. The article notes the positive dynamics of reforming the education system, as well as shows the features of its implementation (polyethnicity and polyconfessionality of the region), female education, the lack of qualified labor force in the field.
