Abstract

The paper focuses on selected aspects of occupational safety in pharmacies. Using a case in the second half of the 19th century in Reeb’s pharmacy, “At the Stork” in Strasbourg, demonstrates the risks to which people working in pharmacies could be exposed. Cases and situations of a similar nature have become the impetus for professional discussions and more thorough workplace safety and property protection in pharmacies in the following period.
