Abstract

The flexural and tensile fatigue tests as well as constant strain rate (CSR) tests for GFRP laminates, which have plain woven glass fiber with several levels of surface treatment, are conducted over wide ranges of loading rate and temperature. The flexural CSR and fatigue strengths depends cleary on surface treatment of glass fiber at low temperature, however depend scarecely on surface treatment of glass fiber at high temperature. On the other hand, the tensile CSR strength depends scarcely on surface treatment of glass fiber for all region of temperature tested. However, the tensile fatigue strength depends cleary on surface treatment of glass fiber for all region of temperature tested. Furthernore, the fatigue strengths of these GFRP laminates are also investigted.
