Abstract

The paper considers options for converting the AMK-24/56 airfield multi-purpose air conditioner, mounted on theZIL-131N chassis, by replacing the ZMZ-511 additional power plant placed in the body. Existing approaches to evaluatingthe quality of replacement of power plants provide for their use as the main power unit that ensures the movement of thevehicle. At the same time, indicators of fuel economy and toxicity or indicators of traction and speed properties of carsare laid as the basis of the comparative analysis. Since the additional power plant of the airfield multi-purpose airconditioner, which is not used to ensure the movement of the car chassis, was to be replaced, an expert method of multicriteriaevaluation of the quality of power unit replacement (PU) was proposed. The development of the proposedmethodology was carried out on the basis of a systematic approach and the application of the theory of fuzzy sets. Toolsbuilt on the basis of fuzzy set theory methods allow minimizing the impact of subjective uncertainty and enable decisionmakersto adjust and refine expert conclusions to increase their objectivity and credibility. The algorithm for solving theproblem of replacing an additional PU is based on the use of a reference comparison model in combination withcompromise and absolute decision models, which reflects the entire spectrum of interaction of the participants in thisprocess and allows taking into account the necessary components of the quality assurance system: the component ofactivity evaluation and analysis and the component of the reference system of indicators (standards). Based on the resultsof the analysis, the Mercedes-Benz OM364 engine was chosen for the modernization of the existing AMK 24/56-131design and replacement of the ZMZ-511 additional power plant.
