Abstract

Leviticus has an edifice complex. Reflecting the architecture of the tabernacle, the book is much more than a stern recitation of the dangers of impurity. With chapter 19 as its apex, Leviticus is about justice and love in the community of faith. Indeed, its relevance in Jesus' ministry may surprise Christians.
