Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to analyse the importance of the Judiciary Memorial Day instituted by the National Council of Justice. The related proposal was submitted to prior consultation before serving professionals in the field of memory in a participating way through an incipient discussion network named MEMOJUS. The initiative aims at promoting Museums, Memorial Centers, Archives, and Libraries regarding Brazilian Judiciary, which are part of the national cultural heritage. The Memorial Day celebration will contribute to constructing a narrative about the identity of the Brazilian Judicial Branch as an essential social pacifier and guarantor of citizenship and rights. This article points out the making of the norm, its content, and the expected actions of the Courts of Justice.
