Abstract

Josephson junctions with links of super-normal bilayer are proposed as reproducible Josephson weak links. By an analysis using Ginzburg-Landau equations, the effective coherence length of the super-normal bilayer is estimated to become longer than that of the superconductor. Junctions are fabricated using Nb/Cu bilayers, and exhibit good electrical properties. Critical current dependence on Cu thickness agrees qualitatively with the result of analysis.
