Abstract

The Council on Foods and Nutrition will sponsor medical student fellowships for research in clinical nutrition in 1968. The grants will be given in honor of Dr. Cicely D. Williams, recipient of the 1967 AMA Joseph Goldberger Award in Clinical Nutrition. <h3>Purpose</h3> The purpose of the fellowships is to provide medical students with the opportunity to gain research experience and to stimulate their interest in clinical nutrition. The grants will consist of $250 per month for three months of the year in which academic work is not scheduled. <h3>Conditions</h3> Fellowships will be granted under the following conditions: (1) The grant shall be made to a medical student on recommendation of a senior investigator or major professor. (2) A medical student, receiving a grant one year, may re-apply for a second grant. (3) The recipient will be selected by the Council on Foods and Nutrition. (4) The grant shall be used
