Abstract
During three expeditions into the border area of Algeria, Niger and Libya, the orientations of joints were measured in a variety of outcrops. The preferred orientations (strikes) of these joints are NW-SE and NE-SW, indicating a neotectonic stress field with principal stress directions oriented NS and EW.
