Abstract

In this paper we discuss an approach of 2D joint inversion of seismic, gravity and magnetotelluric data aimed at producing multi-parametric consistent models and, at the same time, the best seismic imaging in depth. The velocity field produced by joint inversion of seismic and non seismic data is used for pre-stack depth migration of seismic data. In turn the depth residuals derived from depth migration are used as an input, together with non-seismic data, for a new cycle of joint inversion. The process continues until the objective function is minimized and the depth seismic imaging is optimized.
