Abstract
Summary A joint inversion method for PP- and PS seismic data has been developed based on a least square estimation technique. The method should be more robust than inversion of PP-data or PS-data alone. The relative changes in P-wave velocity, S-wave velocity, and density were computed for a simple synthetic 1D model, for different signal-to-noise ratios, and with a constant Vs/Vp-ratio of 1/2.
