Abstract

We consider the problem of estimating the carrier and two-dimensional direction of arrival (2D-DOA) of sparse multiband signals composed of several narrowband transmissions. The traditional sampling methods based on Shannon-Nyquist theorem bring great pressure to the sampling and storage devices. In this paper, the joint estimation of carrier and 2D-DOA of signal sampled by two L-shape arrays based on modulated wideband convertor (MWC) is proposed. The reconstruction algorithm is based on the ESPRIT method and overcomes the pairing issue between the three parameters. Simulation results verify that the proposed method can estimate the carrier frequencies and 2DDOAs from sub-Nyquist samples.
