Abstract

Abstract The pandemic has stimulated interest in past epidemics, especially the Black Death, and John Theilmann’s Disease and Society in Premodern England is a welcome contribution to this literature. Focusing on England from 1000 to 1600, the book provides a useful introduction to the topic of health and disease in the Middle Ages.
