Abstract

The problem of job placement for graduates of auxiliary schools is of great social significance. In each specific case, the solution of the problem depends not only on the degree and qualitative uniqueness of the mental deficiency, but also on a number of other factors: conditions and organization of the work, the attitude of others to the mentally retarded person, and the degree to which his specific psychological characteristics enable him to engage in a certain type of work. This article presents the results of a composite study of graduates of regional Auxiliary School No. 93 in the city of Sverdlovsk.
