Abstract
Jawaharlal Nehru was one of the very few Asian nationalist leaders who had a clear perception of fascism and national socialism, and who draw political conclusions from his standpoint. The article tries to give an overview of Nehru's thinking and position in the early period of nazi rule, e.g. 1933-1935, before the background of the difficulties of nationalist movements to locate fascism and national socialism politically and historically.
