Abstract
The study reflects on the work of contemporary Czech children's literature writer, belonging to the younger middle generation, Jana Šrámková. It focuses especially on her latest prose Fánek hvězdoplavec. The study tries to identify characteristic features of the author's poetics, the key motifs of her works and the relationship to the child reader. All this is situated within the context of author's work for adults.
