Abstract

From time to time, A life in the day will include snippets of information about events or new initiatives which we think may inspire our readers to find out more. In this issue is a report of a transnational seminar at which people from Durham met with colleagues from Italy to discuss the creation of cooperatives to provide employment for people with mental health problems. We tend to think of Italy as the home of co‐operative enterprise ‐ sometimes forgetting that our own co‐operative movement has a long and distinguished history.
