Abstract
The project 'Police Reform and Migration Management' includes, among other things, component 2 - Migration management through effective policy and coordination procedure. Thereby, a central database of foreigners has been established as information and technological support in the implementation of component 2. The main purpose of this central data base is to support migration management, improve the process of collecting and processing visa applications for foreign nationals, as well as issuing visas in the Republic of Serbia by introducing modern technologies and application systems. Implementation of the component 2 has led to the integration of application solutions with the existing system for visa issuance and monitoring in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the information system of the National Employment Service in the segment of issuing work permits and monitoring of current status of foreign nationals.
