Abstract

Private clinical practice in a small town has many features which differ from the urban practice experience. This paper discusses some of these features, such as the expectations of the community members, and formal and informal support systems and networks. Also explored are the educational, experiential, financial, and personal requisites for the role of small town private social work practitioner.
