Abstract

Business freedom is one of the fundamental rights of citizens, stipulated in the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Protection of this right not only guarantees human rights but also contributes to the socio-economic development of the country. Strong application of information technology in settling administrative procedures, providing online public services and e-government is one of the tasks and solutions being promoted by customs to make progress in administrative procedure reform. This article will provide the basic concepts of business freedom and the results that Vietnam has achieved in the process of administrative procedure reform as well as recommendations for some ideas for development and promotion of effective management policies in the field of customs to ensure business freedom for people and businesses.
