Abstract
Romain Rolland in the process of realizing his ideal through writing always paid attention to the Russian intelligentsia. Based on Rolland's literary creation and various historical materials, this paper attempts to outline the historical track of Rolland's contacts with the Russian intelligentsia, so as to clarify the role of Russian culture in his literary creation and ideological formation.
