Abstract

The distinction between human performance and human behavior is considered and modeling approaches suitable for describing both performance and behavior discussed. Static and dynamic input-output models and rule-based models are contrasted. Issues considered include the models' relative abilities to describe time-varying behavior, possible levels of description, uses of contextual cues, and identifiability.
