Abstract
The voice signal distortion through various videoconferencing platforms (VCPs) and devices used in cleft palate telepractice was acoustically analyzed.FIGURE: Example of the audio waveform and amplitude spectrogram of the same voice sample in Japanese /Φ/ɯ, /ɯ/, /ts/, /ɯ/, /ɯ/ (which translates to “general“ in English) for all combinations of VCP and devices. Sub‐figures F, J, and P present the audio waveform loss in the low‐amplitude area (↓: Loss of audio waveform); and C, D, and G present the signal attenuation (→: Signal attenuation). Further details can be seen in the article by Tajiri et al. in this issue. image
